Candi Shearer has been a member of the Maniet Financial Services Network since 2006 in an administrative role with her main focus on maintaining accurate computer data for the company.
She lives in Upper St. Clair with her husband Steve, whom she met her first day as a freshman at Penn State. They have been married for 37 years. She graduated from Penn State with a B.S. Degree in Food Science and Technology. From there she started working at Borden’s and Nabisco in Pittsburgh as a Quality Control Manager. After her son Kevin and daughter Kristin were born, she left Nabisco and chose to continue her career by doing computer analysis from her home. She is able to combine the work at her home job with Maniet Financial, which has proven to be a great combination.
Candi and Steve currently have two grand-daughters, Aubrey and Emily. Their son, Kevin is a Computer Analyst at Bayer and his wife, Tiffany, is a CPA at Ernst and Young. Their daughter, Kristin, is an Audiologist at Pittsburgh Ear Associates and their son-in law, Dave, is a Portfolio Manager at Mellon Wealth Capital. The family enjoys free time at a cabin they own near Seven Springs that they access from an 80 foot long suspension bridge.
In her free time, Candi volunteers with a group that crochets plastic sleeping mats that are distributed to the homeless people in downtown Pittsburgh. To date, this group has made 396 mats and they have been featured in local papers and magazines.
